HT BLOCK SYSTEM

Properties of the HT Block System

The Heatrek HT Block System is available in various grades and densities.

Ceramic Fibre options are 1260 and 1400 Grades and is also available in Polycrystalline 1600 Grade.

Non Classified Grades in 1100 and 1260.

Densities range from 128 kg/m3 up to 210 kg/m3 with thicknesses from 100 mm to 325mm.

The HT Block is supplied typically as a 600 x 300mm block but can be manufactured to various width to suit any application.

Proven internal anchoring system is typically 2 stainless steel firings with a U Shaped section profile to give added strength in roof applications.

All blocks are retained to the casing plate with a robust M8 x 90Lg stainless steel stud and nut. Bolt on fixings are also available.

All blocks are supplied wrapped in heavy gaged craft paper with 3 runs of tape to maintain the density for ease of installation.

Blocks can be cut on site with a working hand saw to suit any size and profile for example around Burner Quarls.

Sealing Safety Layer

The system encourages the use of a blanket sealing layer against the casing. A stainless steel or aluminium vapour barrier can be easily incorporated.

Flexible Design

HT-Blocks can be engineered in several thicknesses for use up to 1500 °C. Anchors can be supplied in AISI 316 and Incoloy 800H stainless steels (other grades available on request). HT Blocks can be combined with elements of the Prefired Module system to provide elegant and practical solutions to problems around peep sites, noses, dampers and burners.

Fast Installation

The system is installed at very high rates to give low installation costs. Studs are first welded to the casing on a grid layout. The sealing layer can then be applied over the studs and held in position. HT Blocks are then fixed onto the studs with 316 Grade Nuts. Batten strips are installed between rows and held  in place with staples.

Easy Site Cutting

The efficient anchor design allows the HT Block to be cut with a saw without fouling anchor steelwork.

Quick Replacement/Repair

In the event of a block being damaged, it can be easily removed and replaced without damaging the adjacent lining.
HT Blocks can be supplied compressed to between nominal densities of 128kg/m3 and 210kg/m3. They are anchored in compression against the casing to prevent any movement and to stop gas tracking behind the module.
